Flowers Trick Winter

I had just picked up some bright white flowers to ward off the winter darkness when the sun came out!

I didn't know they were MAGIC flowers!

Feathers on Blue

I thought I'd take the same photo with 2 different lenses so that I can see their differences better. The top pic is taken with the lensbaby muse, the bottom with a "nifty fifty" lens. Aside from the focus, they both definitely do their own number on that blue.

By the way, if you stuck this feather up your nose - you'd know how my sinuses feel right now. Boo on January colds - BOOOO!

An Ode to Lensbaby

OH lensbaby, I've heard your name dropped here & there in certain circles, but had I known your powers of blur & light, I would have snatched you up months ago!

This lens can go from fuzzing just the edges to full on blur-out. I'm a big fan of photos with ambiguous details, I think it invites the viewer to imagine the rest as they see fit. Thanks to this little gift from my honey, after a bit more practice, I should be able to blur to my hearts' content!
